STA Swimming Teacher Qualification

Replacing the previous Award and Certificate in swim teaching bringing everything together into one comprehensive Level 2 qualification. This new qualification provides a clear, modern pathway to becoming a fully qualified swimming teacher. Designed around today’s aquatic industry and tomorrow’s workforce, it is streamlined, practical, and built to support real-world teaching.

STA Safety Award For Teachers

If you’re a swimming teacher, aqua aerobic instructor or school teacher and looking for a qualification that will allow you to provide safety cover for swimming sessions, this is the qualification for you! On the course, you’ll learn basic rescue, first aid and resuscitation skills. Holding a rescue/safety award such as this is also recommended for our swimming teaching qualifications, so this may be included with your swimming teaching course. If you are undertaking your Swim Teachers course with TEN-B training then please speak to us about how you can bolt this course onto your training.

STA Open Water Swimming Coaching

For those who love open water and want to promote and share their passion by coaching swimmers in an open water environment, STA’s Open Water Swimming Coaching qualification will prepare learners for all aspects of open water swimming coaching, from planning, coaching and evaluating open water swimming sessions.

STA Open Water Safety

The Open Water Safety qualification is aimed at open water swimming coaches and those who provide safety cover during structured open water activity sessions. It enables the holder to initiate the Emergency Action Plan, respond to an emergency and support the casualty to prevent the situation from worsening until further assistance arrives. The course includes the skills and knowledge required to minimise the dangers of open water hazards and risks, open water rescue skills, CPR and first aid skills. Once qualified, you’ll be able to work in a variety of open water environments providing safety cover for competent swimmers, including lakes, rivers and the sea (close to shore).
