Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award

Delivered by TEN-B Training

The RLSS Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award (SPERA) is designed for staff who are not lifeguards but may be required to respond to emergencies in a swimming pool. Delivered by TEN-B Training, this qualification provides the essential practical rescue skills and basic life support knowledge needed to safely manage incidents until qualified lifeguards or emergency services take over.

SPERA is ideal for venues where programmed sessions take place under the supervision of qualified swimming teachers, instructors, or facility staff who need a proportionate level of emergency training.

Course Overview

The SPERA qualification equips participants with the confidence and competence to deal with poolside emergencies. TEN-B Training delivers this course through practical, scenario-led training supported by clear, accessible theory sessions.
