Level 3 Outdoor First Aid (2 Days)

TEN-B’s Outdoor First Aid Courses are designed to give you not only the skills to deliver first aid in outdoor and remote areas but also the confidence to provide the best care. We use immersive scenarios and simulations to give you an interactive and realistic learning experience, from Campsites to rock climbing and water based exercises you never know what training scenarios will greet you on your course! 

Course Syllabus

Our Level 3 Outdoor First Aid course covers a comprehensive range of essential skills to confidently handle emergencies in outdoor settings. Topics include:

  • First Aid essentials: Equipment, assessing situations, prioritising treatment

  • Casualty care: Dealing with unresponsive individuals, moving a casualty, shock (including anaphylaxis)

  • Injuries and trauma: Fractures, spinal injuries, head, chest, abdominal, eye injuries, burns, sprains, and strains

  • Medical emergencies: Heart attacks, choking, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, poisoning

  • Environmental conditions: Hypothermia, frostbite, heat exhaustion

  • Other common emergencies: Bites, stings, and minor injuries

By the end of the course, participants will be confident in delivering prompt, safe, and effective first aid in any outdoor scenario.
